Reaching out...

Went for my first reaching out project with church on last Saturday.

My ticket @ $18 (discounted rate)
It was indeed a day full of fun and great experience!

God is good as the weather was perfectly clear with very little haze (which I actually don't smell any, to be honest), and it drizzled in the afternoon, after we had done with all the walks and ready to return to the school for dismissal.

Praise God for this awesome time to be able to serve outside the church and to remind myself that how blessed I am because of Jesus.

Here's some beautiful flowers at the gardens. Love the cooling weather inside the cloud forest, was astounded by the huge man-made waterfall upon the entrance.

In conclusion, it is indeed a blessing to be able to serve out of the abundance from our Lord.

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for You are with me, You are my provision and my supplies. Thank You that in You Lord, I am complete.

空杯以待

空杯之空,在于有无之间的相溶。一只杯子,注满水以前是空的,将水倒掉后,仍然是空。空是完成,又是期待,空是两次充盈之间的短暂休息,一头连着往事的回味,一头连着未来的希望。 You may check out more from this link - > 空杯以待 丫阁终老

I saw this from a friend's blog and did a search online, and was touched by how the script-writer of Heavenly Sword (1986 HK Drama Series) had used this for the ending of the story, although this was not found in the original novel.

It means empty in the beginning, and empty in the end, if I can phrase it this way.

But actually, think about the fullness or emptiness of the cup, it is actually full of the air, if not by tangible things, like water.

I do not quite agree with everything that was written in blog, however, it does remind me on some biblical truth I learnt from my pastor.

The old wine (the old covenant, the Law) must be emptied. We cannot mix the old wine and the new wine together, lest we loose both.

The new wine, or the new covenant, is the Grace of God, that is given to His beloveds, by believing in Jesus' finished work on the cross. Simple? Too good to be true? Well, that's the good news! Good news are usually too good to be true, right? A good news from God, will be even better and it's so simple that people just can't believe it.

It is so dangerous to live a mixtures life, mixtures of Law & Grace. The Law was given through Moses, but Grace and Truth came through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. How great is the feeling, to know that Grace and Truth came to us!

Think of it, if we do not empty the old wine in our life, how can we receive the new wine that come to us?

I was, at first, originally, wanted to pen down some romance or sentimental feeling about this Chinese poem, but I ended up writing down something about my Lord and Saviour. His love is greater than life and definitely sweeter than wine.

It reminds me of an hymn (not really a hymn actually) :) ...

Your love is better than life, sweeter than wine
It's more than I can ever imagine
Your love is all that I need
So Lord I receive
Your loving kindness and grace for me

How great is my God! Amen!

It's the most romantic thing that ever happened in my life, is to know that I am so loved by my Lord Jesus! The second will be with my future husband. Hahaha!

Picking up to blog.. maybe.. :)

Just realize that it has been more than a year since I last write a blog... time truly flies... :)

This year, I wish to have more free time to read and write and rest.

2013 has been a busy year for me, fruitful and with many opened doors from the Lord.

Many ups and downs too.. and a lot of emotional & spiritual struggling within me.

But the Lord is faithful in keeping and protecting me, in every area that I lack, He supplies.

2014, a year of greater glory! I am trusting God for fruitful, door-opened and greater glory in the year, and, restful increase, too! :)

Hallelujah!

In Your presence, no more fear!

Yes, when I was walking home last night after the choir practice, with Kari's song, Savior's Here, playing in my iPhone, this lyrics jumped out to me - In Your Presence, No More Fear!

Indeed Lord, I shall not fear, because I am in You! I will be able to overcome this trial by Your grace and Your grace alone.

And the Lord has given me this solution, and I am gonna cut down the connection with JR, starting with zero-ed my check-in at foursquare, if not zero, at least cut down, and games, also should not reply within the same day, and I shall not send him any type of text message, be it sms or whatsapp, unless it's a matter of life and death.

What if he text? And what if he calls? I will reply the msg, not immediately, unless it is something urgent, need me to response. Call.. errr.... I will answer if I am not on another line, but I will not rush to answer his call. He should not hold such special place in my life and my heart anymore.

What if he reacted like the new year day? Moody, stressful.. and requested for a meet... Wow! This is a million dollar question. I will need more wisdom to handle this situation. Let's not "what if" or worry so much. The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 6, therefore, do not worry about tomorrow..
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. - Matthew 6:34, NKJV
Let not your heart be troubled, because, Jesus has left His peace for me (John 14:27). Thank You Lord! I shall fear no more, my heart shall be troubled no more. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen!

And do everything with love...

Been pasting this verse from 1 Corinthians 16 at my computer monitor for a very long time... nearly a year...

And do everything with love. (1 Corinthians 16:14, NLT)

but still, I think I have always fail to do so, especially when myself, or someone I care, made a repeated mistake at work.

I have been reminding myself, not to expect other people to be same as myself, be it character, personality, working attitude, understanding, and etc. Yet, this is one of the fields that I truly needs God's grace to super abound in it. Maybe I have been struggling, instead of trusting for Him to work things out for me.

Lord Jesus, please work in me, help me and guide me in every word that I say, be it a compliment, or a correction, for the people around me, make me say word as gentle as You and yet people will see the weigh of the word and receive the correct message the way I want it to be delivered. All this, Lord Jesus, in Your precious and mighty Name, I pray. Amen!
