Foods: Italianies @ The Curve

Was working for the whole day at PDII and decided to go to The Curve as sis needs to buy swimsuit for her upcoming island trip at Thailand.

Didn't able to get any cab by using MyTeksi app, so we decided to activate the uber driver, and our driver Mike is a young and handsome boy, and we enjoyed our journey with Jay Chou's songs playing in the car.

It was around 6.30pm when we finally arrived and decided to walk at The Street to check out the swimsuit, however, due to Christmas season, there was no stall selling swimsuit. Then we both felt hungry and decided to have our dinner at our favourite Italy restaurant - Italianies.

Of course, the restaurant is fully setup for Christmas with a big Christmas tree at the entrance. We love the snowman that's glued on the glass window. It's very cute!

As usual, we were being served with complimentary bread, to be dipped with olive oil and vinegar, to eat while waiting for our order to be served. The bread was made freshly at the restaurant, and it tasted very good. They usually served white and wholemeal bread, but not for today. There were only wholemeal bread served today.

The restaurant was very busy and we were waited for quite some time for our foods to be served.

As usual, we have ordered our favourite mushroom soup and smoked salmon salad. This time, we ordered something we had never tried before - Chicken Milanese.

The smoked salmon salad (regular @ rm39.55) is served with smoked salmon, mango, mandarin orange, tomatoes and cream cheese with baby spinach and romaine lettuce, tossed with orange vinaigrette dressing. The serving tonight was not as big as what we usually get but it's still okay coz we were still not able to finish the bowl.

Chicken Milanese (picollo @ rm20.90), our first attempt. It's on their house special menu. This grilled chicken breast is served over rich cream spinach, and its topped with chilled tomato-caper relish. The chicken breast meat was perfectly grilled and its solid yet juicy. With some char-grilled part, it gave the dish an even stronger smell that made it tasted even better and more unique. We both love our first attempt of this dish. The serving is quite big too.

Didn't take any pic of our soup as we were too hungry and cold due to the heavy rain before we finished work, so, we need something hot and creamy to warm our stomach. However, the taste of the soup was kinda salty and not as pure as what we usually had.

Overall, the quality of the foods served tonight was still able to maintain in their usual standard, hopefully the mushroom soup will be back to the usual taste and the service quality can be improved as well.

Thank God for another good dinner time with good food and with family member that I loved.
